Description/Learning Objectives: This workshop highlights mastering engineer Bob Katz's philosophy for capturing a vocalist’s best performance, but tailored to Snell Library's Audio Recording Studio.

  1. Proper/effective signal flow  

  1. Headphone signal path/vocalist headphones mix  

  1. To determine best mic for the individual  

  1. Mic placement for tone/volume control  

  1. Equalization/compression
