Learn how to create a Jekyll website from a GitHub repository using GitHub Pages. Gregory Palermo will lead you through the process of forking exising code that generates a static website, how to modify it for your needs, test it on your own machine, and push it for hosting on GitHub pages. At the end of the session, attendees will understand the basics of how GitHub Pages functions and how to create their own project sites. Some knowledge of the bash/zsh command line and Markdown may be helpful, but no prior experience is assumed.
