Neighborhood Matters: An Evening with Boston Female Liberation: Activists Look Back, 1968-1972

Neighborhood Matters: An Evening with Boston Female Liberation: Activists Look Back, 1968-1972

Join the Northeastern University Archives and Special Collections for two special Neighborhood Matters events with members from Boston Female Liberation, a group of feminist activists that operated from 1968 to 1972. Female Liberation’s goal was to create a community that worked for and supported women’s issues in the Boston area, including self defense, equal wages, birth control, legalization of abortion, and the media’s portrayal of women.

This first event, on the evening of September 17 at 6pm, will feature Female Liberation members Nancy Rosenstock, Delpfine Welch, and others presenting on their time in Boston Female Liberation. Materials from Female Liberation's records will be on display in the Archives and Special Collections’ reading room for attendees to browse.

This event is free and open to the public.

Registration is not required.
